Quando o Oracle indexa valores de coluna nulos?


Se alguma coluna indexada contiver um valor não nulo, essa linha será indexada. Como você pode ver no exemplo a seguir, apenas uma linha não é indexada e essa é a linha que possui NULL em ambas as colunas indexadas. Você também pode ver que o Oracle definitivamente indexa uma linha quando a coluna de índice principal tem um valor NULL.
SQL> create table big_table as
  2       select object_id as pk_col
  3               , object_name as col_1
  4               , object_name as col_2
  5  from all_objects
  6  /
